For over 100 years, the waterfront was home to the Crystal Beach Amusement Park, a famous landmark that at it's peak served passengers aboard the Canadiana ship and visitors abroad with exciting Roller coasters, dancehalls, concession stands, hotels, boardwalks, bandshells and many other iconic attractions.
Sadly, all of this came to an end, as the last customers said their goodbyes. on Labour Day, 1989 the park was closed... and has been an everlasting memory of local residents ever since... but the story doesn't end here!
Crystal Beach has since entered a new era, with a growing market of specialty shops, antiques and great casual or fine dining, and new residential developments...
